On Thursday April 21, 2011, the Kaiser Family Foundation held a live, interactive webcast on Congress and global health. Featuring three global health policy experts, U.S. Global Health Policy: In Focus examined the new legislative landscape of the 112th Congress. What does the recent change in the balance of power mean for global health programs? What does it mean for foreign assistance more generally? How might the current budget battles play out for U.S. global health programs, including HIV/AIDS, family planning, neglected tropical diseases, and others? What about the Global Fund? What could this mean for programs on the ground?
